Jenkins, the Shanley household assistant
Jenkins sends two kinds of message, and no others:

Jenkins: You're subscribed to the Shanley household assistant. Text any question for a reply. You'll also receive severe weather alerts for your area. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
No messages are sent to any number before that number has texted START.
Message frequency varies. Replies are sent only in answer to a message you send. Severe weather alerts are sent only when the National Weather Service issues a warning for your area, so how many you receive depends entirely on the weather.
Message and data rates may apply. Jenkins does not charge for messages; any charges are those of your own mobile carrier under your own plan.
Reply HELP for help. You may also email mike.shanley@gmail.com.
Reply STOP to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing further will be sent to your number. You may rejoin at any time by texting START again.
Jenkins is operated by a sole proprietor for the members of one household. Only phone numbers belonging to household members are registered with it, and a message from a number that is not registered receives no reply. The opt-in step above is required of every household member: nobody receives messages because somebody else added them.
Do not rely on this service as a source of emergency warnings. Messages may be delayed, incomplete or not delivered at all, and the service may be unavailable without notice. Always follow official warnings from the National Weather Service, local emergency management and broadcast media, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.
