Jenkins is a private household assistant operated by a sole proprietor for the members of a single household. This policy describes what the SMS service collects and how it is handled.
Information is used only to operate the service: to identify which household member sent a message, to generate and deliver a reply, to decide which severe weather alerts apply to a member and send them, and to diagnose faults. It is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling or any automated decision-making about a person.
Message content is processed by third-party service providers in order to produce a reply. Specifically:
These providers act on the operator's behalf and are permitted to use the information only to perform those functions. Some replies are generated on equipment owned by the operator rather than by an outside provider, in which case the message content is not transmitted to an AI provider at all.
Phone numbers and SMS consent information are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes, and are never shared with unaffiliated third parties for their own purposes. No mobile information is shared for promotional or lead-generation purposes. Message content is disclosed only to the service providers described above, solely so that the service can function, and otherwise only where disclosure is required by law.
Messages, replies and delivery records are retained on the operator's own equipment for as long as the service is in use, and are deleted on request. A record of consent and of opt-out requests is kept for as long as required to honour those requests and to show compliance.
The service runs on privately owned equipment under the operator's control. Access is limited to the operator. No security measure is perfect, and no guarantee of absolute security is made.
The service is not offered to the general public and is not directed at children outside the operator's household. Numbers are registered only by the operator.
You may stop messages at any time by texting STOP to the number you are messaging. You may ask for the information held about you to be deleted, or ask what is held, by contacting the address below.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
